HR and Recruitment Assistant

Job Purpose:

Here at Cherry our greatest asset is our people and we need an experienced HR and Recruitment Assistant to ensure that all administrative tasks relating to employees are handled diligently and accurately.  The Cherry family will continue to grow this year and we therefore need a dedicated resource to also coordinate and facilitate the entire recruitment process in partnership with the HR Manager and hiring managers.  The successful candidate will be expected to promote Cherry as an ‘employer of choice’ through their activities.  They will also have a focus on ensuring we have a positive working environment with an emphasis on building a community at work.  This is a brand new position and will assist the overall HR strategy immensely which will propel our people plan for 2016.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

Recruitment

Advertising vacancies through appropriate channels
Forwarding applications to hiring managers
Making sure the recruitment process runs smoothly by regular follow up with hiring managers on status of candidate’s application
Organising and scheduling interviews with all parties in a timely manner
Providing feedback/updates to candidates on their application
Liaising with 3rd parties (i.e. recruitment agencies) on their candidate’s applications
Negotiating recruitment partnership agreements in collaboration with HR Manager
Updating content on career page/social media channels/intranet relating to recruitment
Talent sourcing – proactively using channels to search for talent, aside from receiving direct applications
Organising relocations to Malta
Process reference requests
HR Administration

Completing all induction paperwork with new employees
Forwarding relevant paperwork/documents to 3rd party who deals with payroll/ETC engagement
Ensuring all employee files are up to date with relevant paperwork/documents
Updating staff intranet
Compiling reports as per request for internal stakeholders
Answering employees’ general queries via email
Employee engagement

Organising regular social events
Proactively benchmark our working environment with our competitors and make suggestions to improve our workplace
Continuously look to develop and evolve the workplace in line with the market and HR best practice
Assist in our reward and recognition scheme for our employees
Office management

In conjunction with the Receptionist, ensure our office runs smoothly (equipment/furniture requests, office maintenance requests, liaising with 3rd parties contractors/vendors as and when required)
Knowledge/Experience/Skills: 

Fluent in English
Fluency in a Scandinavian language would be considered an asset
Must have solid experience within an HR Assistant/Recruitment Coordinator or similar role
Experience in iGaming would be advantageous otherwise come from an e-commerce background
HR qualification/and or related degree is desirable
Adept with MS Office Suite
Good project management skills
