Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, this position will see you playing a pivotal part in generating new business at international level, with a view to broadening the company’s client portfolio. You will be tasked with all aspects from monitoring industry trends, assisting to suggest and review business strategies and initiating contacts with potential clients, to recommending new products, contributing to pricing structures and formulating bid packages for clients. Beyond establishing new client contacts through attendance at meetings and trade fairs, a key function of this role is to support clients in their product portfolio requirements, as well as conducting pro-active follow-ups with a view to securing lasting strategic relationships.
If you have a tireless drive to succeed, can work independently, have a natural ability to interact with people and are available to travel frequently, then this is the job for you. Of course you will also need the basics, namely a tertiary level of qualification in business or commerce, two to four years’ experience working in a multicultural environment at international level, working knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, fluency in English spoken and written. Preference will be given to candidates who have an established network in retail and/or DIY sectors. It would also move-up your application if with the above you also spoke Italian, French or any Scandinavian language.
